The art of friendship. Learned.

This is a story of the friendship of two lizards. In order to renovate the house, a Japanese man breaks open the wall. Japanese houses normally have a hollow space between the wooden walls. When tearing down the walls, he found that there was a lizard stuck there, because a nail from outside had been hammered into one of its feet. He sees this, feels pity, & at the same time curiousity. When he checks the nail, it was nailed 5 years ago, when the house was built!!! *What happened?* The lizard had survived in such a position for 5 yrs!!! In a dark wall partition for 5 years without moving, it is impossible and mind-boggling. Then he wondered how this lizard had survived for 5 years without moving a single inch, since its foot was impaled! So he stopped his work and observed the lizard, to see what it has been doing, and how it has been eating Later, not knowing from where it came, appears another lizard, with food in it's mouth. Ah! He was stunned and touched deeply.

Thoughts on Freedom

He that conquers self, is he who is truly and indeed free. I do not believe that the future exists yet. It exists to me as an infinite spectrum of possibilities. Maybe not infinite, but an incomprehensible magnitude of finite possibilities. Man is master and architect of his fate. Everything is possible, but seemingly poses some difficulty of different grades to some and different minds. The obstacle which exists only in the mind, clouds the mind from rightful thinking, into believing something is insurmountable. I believe as a result of this mere fact that everything is possible and the future only exists now as a possibility, who you are at any point in time is incomparable to who you can become. Who you can be is always greater than who you are, be you the greatest king or lowliest peasant. This is quite depressing knowing that whatever we be there, is always an unimaginable presence or existence of our self we can be. Upon this realization I say be still my heart and be glad
